The time is 12:20am, and the side effects of anesthesia finally got to me. I sat up and threw up all over the bed.
It actually wasn't too bad. There were no solids, and everything flowed through the little gap I was able to make through my bands. A change of clothes, quick water rinse, then saline rinse, and suction tube later, I was back in bed ready to fall asleep all over again.
But now I am paranoid about drinking too much water and having the nausea return...

So, were you not wired together for awhile there? I'm confused out fluid gets in and out...
ReplyDeleteI am, but there is a small gap/play room that allows me to let the fluid flow out. Shortly after this incident though, they tightened it down.
DeleteIs vomiting hurtful? Because I'm having lower jaw surgery and I'm scared please tell me the while procedure if you can remember?
ReplyDeleteKenny, no it isn't hurtful or painful. It is just really gross. Having said that, most surgeons will have your mouth banded together with rubber bands. This allows you to open your jaws apart just a couple of centimeters, enough for your vomit to flow out. It's not pretty, but it works.
